Leadership

John Bennett

John’s career spans three decades of working for some of the most influential, global advisory companies at the managing director level. He began his career in Canada obtaining his CPA with KPMG. While the challenge of preparing for annual audits was meaningful, he transitioned to the consulting side of the business and moved to the San Francisco, Bay Area. His CPA designation and experience in finance and accounting gave him instant credibility as he embarked on his advisory career.

The initial part of his advisory career focused on the areas of cost reduction and process improvement in the consumer goods, technology, energy, and heath care sectors. During that time, he spent the better part of 2 years negotiating joint exploration costs between ARCO, BP and Exxon in Anchorage and Prudhoe Bay Alaska.

The next stage of his career took him on a global journey developing strategies for complex, multi-process outsourcing deals with delivery locations in India, Eastern Europe, China and LatAM. Travel was extensive during that period but provided an in-depth understanding of conducting business in multiple cultures and the impact on large scale, global transformations.

John returned to his roots and focused on cost reduction (zero based budgeting), process optimization in support of technology implementations and shared services strategy and with it the implications on overall operating model design.

During his career he has worked across consumer goods, retail, hospitality, industrial, health and technology industries with companies such as KPMG, Accenture, PwC, IBM and HP. He holds his Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting from Saint Mary’s University, Canada and his CPA and resides in Scottsdale AZ.
